Water Approval released by Sava River Watershed Agency, Sarajevo on 08th August 2012
The construction permit was obtained from the Federal Ministry of Physical planning on 26th June 2012.

In May 2012 KTG has obtained international license for trading electricity from BiH government entity DERK (State Regulatory Commission for Electricity).
Municipality of Zenica allocated a land lot of 45’861 m2 within the industrial zone of Zenica required for construction of KTG Zenica. The site clearance works were performed successfully by the local company “Geosonda” d.o.o. Zenica on 20th April 2012. The site is a brown field area which was earlier used as a part of the steel plant. The former buildings on that land are demolished and the material was transported off-site and for the leveling purpose new land was brought on site in the quantity of 58’000 m³
KTG Zenica has obtained a license for trading on the local market of BiH from the government entity FERK (The Federal Electricity Regulatory Commission) in February 2012.
KTG AG together with the EPC Consortium has prepared detailed documentation on the technical design for the upgraded capacity of 390 MW and description of the project and has obtained the Urban Planning Approval on 11th January 2012 from the Federal Ministry of Physical Planning.
