The beginning of the construction of gas fired power plant can be expected in mid-year

Delegation from Zenica, composed by leaders of the city, Mayor Husejin Smajlovic and Chairman of the Municipal Council, councillors, representatives of some municipal departments, directors of some public enterprises from Zenica, experts in the field of ecology from the competent cantonal ministries and the University of Zenica, and journalists, visited on Friday the gas fired power plant in Zagreb, Croatia.
The power plant in Zagreb is located in the populated area, so the existence of such an object is not hazardous for the environment. In case of any excessive amounts of toxic gases, the complete plant operation automatically stops.
The opinion of the Chairman of the City Council, Nebojsa Nikolic, is that all what he saw in Zagreb gives him the hope and belief that “when we evaluated and accepted this project, we made the right decision, especially having in mind that with this project, we in Zenica will resolve the question of heating”.
The beginning of the construction of gas fired power plant in Zenica of installed capacity of 230 MW/ 170 MW, is expected for midyear. From the moment of the permit obtaining the Investor has a term of 18 to 24 months for the construction.
